Getting Started with Crossbar
Crossbar is the official platform used by the Geneva Softball Association (GSA) for player registration, team communication, schedules, and volunteer tracking. All parents/guardians must have a Crossbar account to receive team emails and access important season information.
Step 1: Create or Log Into Your Crossbar Account
Click Log In if you already have an account
Click Sign Up if this is your first time using Crossbar
Enter your email and password
Verify your email address by clicking the link sent to your inbox
- ⚠️ You will not receive team emails until your email is verified
Step 2: Access Your Account Dashboard
Once logged in, select Account (upper left corner). From here, you can manage everything related to your player and family.
Account Tabs Overview
Participants
- View all players registered under your email
- Click the Profile icon to:
- Edit player name or birthdate (typos only)
- View registration and payment history
- Add another parent/guardian to the player account
Teams
- View your player’s assigned team
- Access the team page for schedules, messages, and updates
Volunteer
- Track volunteer shifts committed, completed, and remaining
Settings
- Update parent name, phone number, email, or password
- ⚠️ If you change your email, you must verify it or you will stop receiving emails
Notifications
- Manage how and when you receive Crossbar notifications
Step 3: Adding Players to Your Account
- Log into your Crossbar account
- Select Account
- Click Add Participant
- Enter player name and birth date
🔁 If you see duplicate players, confirm the same email was used. If duplicates remain after 48 hours, contact GSA for support.
Step 4: Setting Up a Family Account (Adding Another Parent/Guardian)
Only the registering parent can add others to a player’s account.
- Log in
- Select Account → Participants
- Click the Player Profile icon
- Click + Add Account
- Enter the email address and select Add Account
- If the person already has a Crossbar account → they are added immediately
- If not → they will receive an email to create and verify an account
⚠️ Players can only be part of one family account
Family Calendar & Schedule Sync
- All practices and games appear on the Family Calendar
- Players must be registered and assigned to a team for schedules to show
- If you are not the registering parent, your email must be added to the player account
Sync to Your Phone
- Go to Family Calendar
- Select Calendar Feed
- Follow instructions to sync with your personal calendar
Payments & Registration FAQs
View Registration & Payment Details
- Log in (must be the registering parent)
- Account → Participants
- Click Player Profile
- Scroll to Registration History
- Select View Details
Payments are processed automatically and may take a few days to appear on your statement.
Update or Change Credit Card
If a payment fails due to an expired or replaced card:
- Log in
- Account → Participants
- Click Player Profile
- Registration History → View Details
- Click Edit next to the card on the next installment
- Add the new card
📧 After updating, notify the GSA Registration Director in case adjustments are needed.
